Finn
Support worker
Outside of work, what is an interest/hobby you have?
I enjoy playing guitar in my spare time and have a degree in Contemporary Music and have enjoyed tutoring people in guitar in the past. I like learning songs, writing my own and sometimes I explore other instruments. I also enjoy rock climbing, particularly bouldering in the afternoons, and going for hikes in the forest.
What is one of the things you do supporting our participants that gives you the most satisfaction?
Seeing clients happy and feeling empowered in their life to make decisions and choices.
What is something that isn’t on your resume?
I used to do competitive trampoline sports and I enjoy travelling and am often thinking about my next overseas trip.
What initially drew you to the career path of support worker?
After working as an Allied Health Assistant for 3 years, I would often work alongside support workers, assisting in a client’s physiotherapy/occupational therapy programs. I was drawn to this career path when I was wanting to be able to provide more for people with disabilities beyond just working within their therapy programs.
