Jo Knight – Psychotherapist and NDIS Advocate

Jo-Anne has joined the growing Trusted Care Team as a Psychotherapist and NDIS advocate. She is a dedicated professional with a robust background in NDIS mental health support, art psychotherapy, legal advocacy and case management in the NGO and Government sectors.

Jo-Anne has a passion for learning and is excited to expand her knowledge through working with the Trusted Care team to support individuals and families living with CF to access supports relevant to their circumstances. She brings a wealth of experience in relation to stakeholder engagement, case management, NDIS support work and problem solving with a view to always working toward obtaining the best outcomes for clients.

Her work is characterised by her warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental presence, which helps clients feel understood and supported. Training in a Masters of Therapeutic Arts Practice, trauma-informed care and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy allows Jo-Anne to effectively address complex emotional and psychological issues, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive and compassionate care.

In her spare time Jo-Anne enjoys weaving with foraged materials from forests and gardens, painting, and many other forms of art. She is a mother of 3 young adults and two adventurous Devon Rex kittens!
